Analyze the use of donated funds

With Tableau Software, the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy has been able to visualize and understand their data in ways that were not available to them with other tools.
“We've had a lot of ‘ah-hah’ moments and meetings with the staff and we're presenting these like we haven’t had before,” says Jordan Slide, a research analyst at the SC Campaign.

This dashboard provides you with a view in to the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy. It illustrates the use of donated funds at various sites to the amount of youth served. To gain insight into SC Campaign’s impact, download the workbook and interact with this dashboard.
You first select the type of sites to query on under the Primary Site Type quick filter by checking the appropriate boxes. The Primary Site Type color code legend tells you the type of the primary sites served. The Youth Served legend located in the map window tells you the amount of youth served based on the size of the circle shown on the map. To understand the amount of funds used and how many youth served at which site, refer to the Funding vs Teen Served window located in the lower right of the dashboard. Hover your cursor over any data point to quickly retrieve detailed info for that data point.
To gain insights if the program is serving the right counties, interact with the site location on the map by selecting and clicking on a site, or draw a bounding box with your cursor to select all interested sites. The Teen Birth Rate in Selected Counties window located in the lower left of the dashboard will display historical teen birth rates. Visualizing and analyzing the information from these three dashboard windows should provide you with some insights.
